Fence Installation & Repair in Swansea

swansea home fence installed daffodil carpentry

Daffodil Carpentry are fencing contractors in Swansea. We install, repair, and replace timber garden and boundary fences across SA1 to SA7, covering Sketty, Uplands, Mumbles, Killay, and the wider Swansea area.

Need a new fence or a repair? As local carpenters, we bring 20+ years of timber experience to every job. Single panel swap or full boundary run.

  • Fence installation: New timber fences fitted to your boundary line.
  • Fence repair: Storm damage, rotten posts, leaning panels sorted.
  • Fence replacement: Full replacement when repair isn’t worth it.
  • Garden gates: Timber gates to match new or existing fencing.

Swansea gardens take a battering from coastal weather. SA2 properties in Sketty and Killay often have longer boundary runs. SA3 homes along the Gower edge face some of the strongest wind in the area. We spec our timber and post depth accordingly.

I can not praise enough just how good Rob and is team where. I just bought a house which need a number of things doing. I thought I would have to hire different people to do the jobs. But when I explaining to Rob what I was doing he organised different trades men to do the work while he was there. And every aspect of all the jobs was carried out perfectly. Thanks to all that helped.

Fence Installation in Swansea

Close-Board Fencing

The most popular choice. Overlapping featheredge boards nailed to arris rails create a solid, private boundary. The overlap keeps things private even as the timber moves with seasonal weather. This is what we fit most across SA1 to SA5.

Featheredge Fencing

Individually fixed boards for a cleaner face. Easier to repair section by section if damage happens later. A good choice when a uniform finish matters most.

Post-and-Rail Fencing

Suits larger gardens where full privacy isn’t needed. Common across SA3 and the Gower, where plots are bigger and a defined boundary is enough.

Weather Protection

Swansea’s coastal air accelerates weathering on untreated wood. We use pressure-treated timber on every job. Posts are concreted to a minimum 600mm depth, often deeper on exposed Gower sites.

Fence Repair in Swansea

Storm Damage

The most common call after bad weather. Swansea sits on the Bristol Channel, and south-westerly storms can bring down poorly secured fencing fast. A damaged panel is usually a half-day job. We check which posts are still sound, replace what’s needed, and secure everything before leaving.

Rotting Posts

A rotting post brings down everything attached to it. We can usually replace individual posts without removing surrounding panels. Where rot is limited to the base, a concrete repair spur bolted alongside is sometimes enough.

Leaning Fences

Usually means the posts have failed through rot, shallow installation, or ground movement. We check the full run before recommending repair or replacement. A fence that has leaned significantly tends to have more widespread damage than what’s visible.

Call 01792 949 970 if your fence has come down after a storm. We prioritise storm damage calls across Swansea.
